dekhu sakhi, dvai sāvana saṁga bhāya
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Oh sakhi! Two sāwanas are beautifying the atmosphere together. It seems as if in the month of one sāwana, the other sāwana has come in its personified form for showering the nectar of bliss. (The first sāwana is the month of sāwana and from the other is meant Shyāmasundara.) Here, black clouds have overcast the sky in the month of sāwana and there, the hue of Shyāmasundara’s body is like that of the black clouds. Here, in the month of sāwana, lightning is shining and there, Shyāmasundara’s pītāmbara is fluttering sparklingly. Here, the month of sāwana is beautified with a shining rainbow, and there, multi-coloured gems embedded in Shyāmasundara’s crown are glittering alluringly. Here, the material water is raining in the month of sāwana, and there, the nectarean water of divine love is being showered by Shyāmasundara. Here, the green grass is beautifying the month of sāwana and there, a green-coloured kāchhanī is adorned around Shyāmasundara’s waist. Here, in the month of sāwana can be heard the croak of frogs and there, the jewelled anklets embellished on Shyāmasundara’s feet are jingling sweetly. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says that thus both sāwanas – one insentient and the other sentient, combined together, are presenting an indescribably lovely sight.
