Shri Radha Bal Leela Madhuri · Pad 22
māya te, kuṁvari kahati tutarāya
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Small Kishorī Jī lispingly says to Mother Kīrti, “Oh Mother! I was playing in the gateway with Lalitā and other friends just now. In the meanwhile, an ascetic came there with a vīṇā in his hand. He started staring at Me unblinkingly with tears trickling down his eyes. Then, he circumambulated Me seven times singing, ‘Rādhe-Rādhe’. Oh Mother! Afterwards, he took My ‘balaiyā’ and then ate My foot-dust. When Lalitā asked him to tell his name, Oh Mother! He immediately ran away, laughing uproariously. I said to Lalitā, ‘This ascetic must be some lunatic.’ Why, Mother! Did I not say the right thing? Why are you looking so afraid?” Mother Kīrti replied, “Oh Lālī! That ascetic was actually sage Nārada. Why didn’t You call me?” At this, in the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, little Kishorī Jī very innocently asked, “Oh Mother! Is this sage Nārada pestered by some evil spirit? ”
