Shri Radha Bal Leela Madhuri · Pad 23

māya! mohiṁ sakhiyana bahuta chid̤hāya

Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj

English meaning

Little Kishorī Jī irritatingly says, “Oh Mother! Friends tease Me a lot. They state that He, whom I have been betrothed to, is black-complexioned. They also say that their mothers have betrothed them with fair-bodied boys. Mother! Listen with open ears. If what they say is true, I will never get engaged to Him.” The Mother said, “Oh Lālī! On being grown up, all black-complexioned fellows become fair-complexioned.” Kishorī Jī said, “Then, it means that fair-complexioned would also become black-complexioned when they grow big?” The Mother said, “Yes Lālī! You are right.” Kishorī Jī said, “Oh Mother! If it is so, all my friends will be embarrassed when they grow big.” In the meantime, Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī said, “Oh Lālī! Even Bhagwan Rāma whom saints call God was black-complexioned.”
