Shri Radha Bal Leela Madhuri · Pad 21
khāya aba mākhana mori balāya
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Displeased with Her Mother, little Kishorī Jī says to her, “Oh Mother! I won’t eat butter now.” Mother Kīrti is feeling inebriated with bliss at this sulky sight of little Kishorī Jī. Kishorī Jī then started rolling on the ground voicing Ūṁ Ūṁ. Seeing this, the mother lifted Her up onto her lap and asked, “What do You want?” At this, Kishorī Jī lispingly answered, “Mother! All My friends have been betrothed; only I have not been engaged until now. All My friends tease Me.” The mother said, “Oh Lālī! You are just five years old as yet. I will perform Your engagement ceremony in such a pompous way that all Your friends will feel jealous of You.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says that the innocent Kishorī Jī became happy after hearing this, and Mother Kīrti embraced her darling daughter to her heart.
