Shri Krishna Bal Leela Madhuri · Pad 87
maiyā! tere, chhaiyā ne juluma karī
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
One sakhī complains about Shyāmasundara to Mother Yashodā, “Oh Maiyā! Your Kanhaiyā has created a frightful ballyhoo. On the bank of the river Yamunā, He takes my veil off in front of all the sakhīs. In the code language, He says, ‘Lady with the nose-ring is dearer to Me than My life.’ After saying thus, He catches hold of my hand. When I snatch away my hand, this naughty one, immediately, breaks my pitcher by striking it with His lathi and runs away at once. He only looks young, but actually, He is extremely naughty.” In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, the sakhī says, “We cannot stay in this Braja any longer; you stay here all by yourself now.”
