Shri Krishna Bal Leela Madhuri · Pad 85
māya! sakhi jhūṭhehiṁ dosha lagāya
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
In reply to the afore-mentioned complaint against Him, little Ṭhākura Jī says, “Oh Mother! This sakhī is falsely accusing Me. The truth is that one day, on panaghaṭa, she asked Me to lift her pitcher and put it on her head. Being so small, I could not do so. At this, she threatened Me saying, ‘Come to Your mother, then I will see You.’ Besides this, Oh Mother! she abused even you one day. She said, ‘Kanhaiyā is born of two fathers, who will marry Him?’ Oh Mother! A cat eats up her butter due to her carelessness and she blames Me for this.” In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, Ṭhākura Jī adds, “Oh Mother! Do you see? This maiden wants to have Me beaten.”
