Shri Krishna Bal Leela Madhuri · Pad 75
neku de mākhana o brajanāra
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Shyāmasundara, asking for the alms of butter from a gopī, says to her, “Oh milkmaid! Give some butter to Me as well.” The sakhī replied, “Move away; leave my path. Look, He has come to taste my butter! Before daring to taste my butter, go and look at Your face in a mirror. It is very disgracful that even though there are nine lakh cows in the house of Nandabābā, yet You practise robbery for butter. The whole world knows very well about all Your black deeds. If You do not listen to me, I will go to Mother Yashodā right now and complain about You. Consequently, You will have to ‘eat’ beating instead of butter.” In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, Shyāmasundara replies, “Let Me eat butter first, then having acquired strength, I will also ‘eat’ beating. The inference is, you must feed butter to Me, whether by hook or by crook.”
