Shri Krishna Bal Leela Madhuri · Pad 67
gwālinī! abahuṁ bāta le māna
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Asking for the alms of yoghurt, Shyāmasundara says to a sakhī, “Oh milkmaid! I am giving you one more chance. Do as I say. I am extremely obstinate. I won’t move from here without taking the alms of your yoghurt, know this for sure. If you persist in denying Me the alms, you will have to suffer the loss of even the pot containing yoghurt. Then, you will go back to your house feeling greatly embarrassed. Your abuse ‘dārī ke’ will have no effect on Me (because, being God, I have to hear lakhs of abuses every day). Look sakhi! This is the only road for you to go through for selling yoghurt. Therefore, this dispute will only get worse and worse by each passing day. Excess of ego is harmful, so give Me the alms of yoghurt.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī comments, “How fortunate that milkmaid is from whom the Supreme Lord Himself is begging the alms of yoghurt!”
