Shri Krishna Bal Leela Madhuri · Pad 59
kānha yaha, kauna tihārī bāna?
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Irritated after unsuccessfully trying to wake up Shyāmasundara for a long time, Mother Yashodā says, “Kanhaiyā! This is not a good habit of Yours. Listen with open ears; from now on, I will never awaken You. You sleep till evening to Your heart’s content. The more I try to awake You, the more peacefully You sleep stretching Yourself under Your blanket. Now, I am going. I will make Baladāū my son and not You. Know this for sure.” In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, “Sensing Mother Yashodā to be displeased, Shyāmasundara immediately got up from His bed. He ran and sat in her lap clinging to her, lest she should make Baladāū and not Him, her son.”
