kānha ko pakaryo haladhara kāna
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
(Bhagwan Kṛishṇa was playing on His flute, hiding somewhere away from His cowherd friends. His friends called out for Him many times. Getting no response, they sent Baladāū to search for Him. The story about what happened after Balarāma found Bhagwan Kṛishṇa, is told in the following pada.) Balarāma Jī held Shrī Kṛishṇa by His ear and said, “Why? I have been calling You out for so long and You are secretly playing on Your flute here! Come and quickly herd the cows, our friends are very angry with You.” Balarāma is holding Shrī Kṛishṇa’s ear and Shrī Kṛishṇa, shedding tears, is going with him. He is also afraid as to what the reaction of His friends will be. His friends saw Kṛishṇa coming and said “Why Kanuā? Where were You hiding for so long? You are very young, but at the same time, You are very naughty. We know Your crying is fake so that we forgive You.” At this very time, Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī said to the cowherd boys, “Oh friends! Don’t you know that this is no one else but the Supreme God who is the Lord of māyā, and is therefore, the crest-jewel of all the tricksters?”
