kānha ke guna nūtana suna māya!
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
One sakhī, complaining against Shyāmasundara, sarcastically says to Mother Yashodā, “Listen to the ever new virtues of your son. Yesterday, I had gone to fetch water from the river Yamunā bolting the main door. In the meanwhile, this naughty one, unbolting the door, entered into the house with His friends. By His instructions, Manasukhā sat out of the house and bolted the door as it was before. On my returning with water, Manasukhā said to me, ‘Mother Yashodā has called you’. I still continued walking towards my house to put back the pitcher thinking, ‘Why has Manasukhā come here? Why on earth has mother Yashodā called me? Something is wrong for sure.’ As soon as I entered the house, I saw this darling of yours eating butter with both His hands hurriedly along with His friends. No sooner did they see me, they all started running away. Trying my best to grab Shyāmasundara, all I could get is this pītāmbara of Him.” At this, Shyāmasundara immediately concocted a story and said in the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, “Oh Maiyā! Did you see! On the one hand, this sakhī stole My pītāmbara, and on top of that, she is telling that I am a thief. People are right when they say, ‘It’s like - a thief accusing the police’!”
