Shri Krishna Bal Leela Madhuri · Pad 54
karego ko kāre te byāhu
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
In order to tease small Ṭhākura Jī, sakhīs state, “Oh Kanhaiyā! You repeatedly ask Your mother to get You married but who will marry a black boy like You? Look at Your face in a mirror before asking for a bride. You go on swindling the maidens of Braja on road like a robber and then, wearing the appearance of extreme innocence, take thousands of false oaths for hiding Your faults. You quarrel with the sakhīs and sakhās of the whole Braja. Just think, who will like to marry You after knowing all these bad things about You?” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, then humorously said to Kanhaiyā, “Don’t be disappointed. In this big world, You will surely get some black, hunchbacked girl to be married with.”
