Shri Krishna Bal Leela Madhuri · Pad 51
āju hauṁ daihauṁ vidhi soṁ dāna
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Addressing Shyāmasundara, who is begging for the alms of yoghurt, Kishorī Jī says, “Today, I will give You alms ceremoniously. I am queen Rādhikā; don’t consider Me to be an ordinary milkmaid. Be seated on this spot respectfully, while I go to fetch some leaves from creepers.” There, Lalitā and other sakhīs who were hiding behind the creepers by Kishorī Jī’s instructions understood this gesture of Hers. They ran and catching hold of both of Shyāmasundara’s hands, tied Him with a tree. To Shyāmasundara, who was thus bound, Kishorī Jī said, “This is what has been prescribed as the proper method for giving alms to cheaters.” In the meanwhile, Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī said to Kishorī Jī, “Oh Kishorī Jī! You have promised to give alms, therefore, as Shyāmasundara desires now, give Him the alms of freedom and let Him go.”
