Shri Krishna Bal Leela Madhuri · Pad 49
are o! nilaja nipaṭa baṭamāra
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Reprimanding Shyāmasundara, who is asking for the alms of yoghurt, a sakhī says, “Oh extremely shameless swindler! We know You very well. You steal butter and even break the jars containing it in every house. You break the pearl necklaces worn by maidens of Braja. Not only this, You are not in the least afraid of the other world, because You shamelessly watch the wives of others in an amorous way. You exchange coquettish glances with extremely beautiful and innocent young maidens of Braja. I am a married woman; my husband is an expert in the art of wielding a lathi. If I complain to him, he will give You a good beating.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says in the sakhī’s ear, “All this is fine, but you can never complain against Shyāmasundara to your husband because inwardly, you are deeply in love with Him (Shyāmasundara).”
