Shri Krishna Bal Leela Madhuri · Pad 18
chalata sakhi, laṭapaṭāta naṁdalāla
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
The son of Nanda, Shyāmasundara is toddling. Extremely innocent, baby Kṛishṇa places His tiny feet on the ground slowly, measuring every step with great care. While walking along, His pītāmbara gets untied and falls on the ground again and again, seeing which, all the maidens of Braja assembled there start laughing. Feeling beside herself with joy, Mother Yashodā puts the pītāmbara back on her little child every time it falls. Wherever little Kṛishṇa sees dust, He stealthily puts it in His mouth. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Seeing Him eating dust, cowherd boys threaten Him with their forefinger.”
