Shri Krishna Bal Leela Madhuri · Pad 17
navani mukha maṇḍita sundara shyāma
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Baby Kṛishṇa is looking captivatingly beautiful with His butter-smeared mouth. Some butter He is holding in His hand, some in His mouth, some He has besmeared on His body here and there, and some, He is giving in the mouth of Balarāma. He is walking on all fours; therefore, the anklets in His tiny feet are producing heart-stealing music. Following His gait, the peacock-feather crown on His head is also swaying to and fro, bending from one side to the other. Seeing this, millions of Kāmadevas kiss Shyāmasundara’s feet (sacrifice themselves on His lotus feet). The movement of His earrings, the sparkle of His baby-shirt and the shine of His pearl-like teeth while shrieking with joy, are excessively attractive. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Watching all this from behind a curtain, Mother Yashodā is feeling inebriated with joy.”
