Shri Krishna Bal Leela Madhuri · Pad 12
sakhi kāli lakhī naṁdalāla re
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
A sakhī says to her intimate friend, “Oh sakhi! Yesterday, I saw baby Kṛishṇa. I had gone to Mother Yashodā’s house on some errand, and there, He was playing. A peacock-feathered crown was adorning His head. His hair were extremely curly. A yellow-coloured jhaṁgulī was shimmering on His body. The earrings beautified in His ears were dangling on His cheeks. He was crawling, as a result of which the ornamental kiṅkiṇī tied around His waist and the anklets adorned in His tiny feet were producing extremely sweet jingling music. Oh sakhi! No sooner did I see that captivator of even Kāmadeva than I got totally enraptured and my condition became somewhat similar to that of a mad person due to an uncontrollable surge of love.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “The most astonishing thing is that Mother Yashodā was making Him, who makes the whole world dance through His māyā, dance on the rhythm of her clapping.”
