Shri Krishna Bal Leela Madhuri · Pad 11
dhanya so mātu yashomati bhāma
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Blessed is Mother Yashodā who addresses the Absolute Brahma Shrī Kṛishṇa as ‘Kanuvā’ and Balarāma as ‘Baluvā’. Seeing Bhagwan Kṛishṇa, besmeared with dust, she says to Him with anger, “You must have been a pig in Your last birth.” (And this is true.) Again, on finding Shyāmasundara playing in water for a long time, she says, “You were a fish in Your previous birth.” (And this is true as well. Shyāmasundara had really assumed the forms of a pig and a fish in His previous incarnations.) On seeing dust in Shyāmasundara’s mouth, she threatens Him with a stick in her hand and ties Him up to a mortar with a rope. In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, “The father of the whole world has become the son of an ahīranī, Yashodā in a small village of Nandagrāma!”
