Rasiya Madhuri · Pad 7
dekho dekho rī, gwāla-bālana yārī
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
A rasika says, “Look at the greatness of the love of these illiterate cowherd boys! Snatching away the tasted morsels of food out of their mouth, the Supreme Lord Himself is eating them with great relish. Sometimes, He lets them win in a game and entertains them by acting as their horse, and sometimes, He makes them angry and rejoices at hearing their rebukes resulting from their closest affinity with and right on Him. When Shyāmasundara lifted the Mount Govardhana, the cowherd boys commented, “Kanhaiyā was merely touching the mountain and that too only with a nail, so actually we are the ones who lifted the mountain (Giridhārīs), not He.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “I like that sight of the child Kṛishṇa the best when He draws a long face on being teased by His friends that He is the son of two mothers and two fathers.”
