hāya piya, deihaiṁ asa bisarāya
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
(A gopī’s lamentation in Shyāmasundara’s separation.) Oh sakhi! Looking at Shyāmasundara’s previous simple nature, we had not believed even in a dream that Shyāmasundara can forget us like this. Shyāmasundara, who could not live without us even momentarily, has become too cruel to send even a letter. In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, “Who could ever think that Shyāmasundara can abandon even a mother like Yashodā who fed Him her milk and a father like Nandabābā who bestowed all his affection on Him.”
