hamāro, jīvana-dhana ghanashyāma
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
A gopī suffering from the pangs of separation from Shrī Kṛishṇa, says, “Shyāmasundara alone is the treasure of my life! Good or bad, I belong to Him and to Him alone. I no longer have anything to gain from this world. I am unable to forget His blue-complexioned lotus-face even for a second. Throwing aside the two witches in the form of worldly pleasures (bhukti) and liberation (mukti), I constantly sing the glories of my one and only Beloved. Completely renouncing the mire of rites and rituals and the disease of yoga, I have attained the treasure of invaluable divine love without paying anything in return.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, feeling sorry for the gyānīs, says, “How unfortunate those gyānīs are, who have ignorantly left such sweet nectar for the sake of the dry knowledge of the Impersonal God. They should take a lesson from the gyānīs such as Bhagwan Shiva, Shukadeva, Janaka, Sanaka, etc., who, forgetting the dry knowledge of their Impersonal God, have become mad for the intoxicating bliss of the Personal God.”
