raina-dina talaphi rahe dou naina
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
(A gopī, tormented by the pangs of separation, is talking to herself.) “Both my eyes are suffering day and night from intense yearning for my Beloved! The day passes with streams of tears flowing from my eyes, and the night, in counting the stars. After making thousands of attempts, I accepted defeat but there is not the slightest rest in my mind. In my Beloved’s separation, all ornaments and the things of adornment seem to me like a burden, and the sweet talks of my intimate friends seem like poison. This piteous plight of mine can neither be told to anyone nor be endured without telling.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “After completely exhausting myself with the serious contemplation of this matter, the only conclusion I have reached is, that just as the moon cannot be hidden by hands, in the same way, the surging tide of love cannot be concealed for long.”
