maiṁ kaisī karūṁ? mohiṁ kachhū nā bhāye
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
A virahiṇī in separation from beloved Shyāmasundara says, “What should I do? I do not like anything at all without my Beloved. My eyes are shedding continuous streams of tears longing to taste the bliss of the sweet-meeting with my Beloved. Oh friend! I experience stabbing pain in my heart intermittently. At those times, it seems as if I won’t survive anymore. Throughout the night, I sometimes feel sudden bodily jerks, sometimes I get startled all at once and wake up, and sometimes I start to talk as if in a state of delirium. Thus, I spend the whole night remaining wide-awake. Even the beautiful scenes of the spring season as well as the sounds of parrots, cuckoos and peacocks make me extremely restless.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “When will that day come when beloved Shyāmasundara, the crest-jewel of the rasikas, Himself catches hold of my hand and embraces me to His heart?”
