mo sama kauna abhāgini māta?

Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj

English meaning

Overwhelmed with grief in her son’s separation, Mother Yashodā laments, “Who else will be so unfortunate a mother as I am, who, even after declaring Kṛishṇa and Balarāma to be dearer than her own life, could not leave her body in their separation? That father, the king Dasharatha, was extremely fortunate, who left his body in Rāma and Lakshmaṇa’s separation, acquainting the world with his intense love for them. Oh! Why did I always behave so cruelly towards my son as to tie Him with a mortar? It is possible that my son has renounced me only after realizing my love to be deceitful. There is nothing surprising in this.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī remarks, “Thus, Mother Yashodā, overly overwhelmed with grief in her son’s separation, is feeling pangs of remorse in her heart.”
