mujha virahini ko viraha satāve
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
A virahiṇī says to her intimate friend, “Oh sakhi! The separation from the Beloved has become extremely painful for me. You listen to my trouble. Nowhere do I experience any peace even for a moment without the Beloved. Even one moment of the Beloved’s separation appears to me as a kalpa and I feel extremely restless like a fish that restlessly flops and flounders on the dry land for water. Waiting for beloved Shyāmasundara, who is the Lord of my life, my eyes shed constant rain of tears. Oh! Let somebody show mercy on me and make me meet my dear Shyāmasundara. If He does not come here, let somebody inform Him about the pitiable condition of this virahiṇī in His separation.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Let somebody tell Him at least this worldly law that now I am about to leave my body. And even in the world, the dear and near ones come to meet at the time of final departure. Therefore, if not otherwise, then according to this worldly law at least, my Beloved should come and meet me once.”
