mādho! hama mānata ābhāra

Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj

English meaning

Uddhava, submerged in divine love, says to Bhagwan Kṛishṇa, “Oh Shyāmasundara! I am grateful to You. I will be eternally indebted to You for this greatest good You have done to me. Oh Shyāmasundara! You alone are the real friend in all the three worlds. Till now, I didn’t know that You are God, Yourself. You blessed me with divine love on the pretext of sending me to give knowledge to the gopīs.” In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, Uddhava then addresses the men of wisdom, “Oh gyānīs! Ponder over all this seriously. Even my defeat has become my victory.”
