Virah Madhuri · Pad 144
mādho! mohiṁ lūṭīṁ brajanāra
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Uddhava, submerged in the bliss of divine love, says to Shyāmasundara, “Oh friend! Gopīs of Braja have completely pillaged me. Snatching my books of wisdom, they proved me to be a mere prattler. My nirvikalpa trance was swept away in the ocean of divine love. Making me forget to meditate on attribute-less Brahma, they made me engrossed in the meditation of the Personal Brahma i.e. God with form and attributes. They have seized my yoga and have taught me to get eternally engaged in enjoying ever-new sports of divine love with You.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī humorously remarks, “Oh Uddhava! When you have been robbed of everything, it is only natural for you to shed streams of tears.”
