mādho! māni laī hama hāra

Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj

English meaning

Completely immersed in divine love-bliss, Uddhava addressing his friend Shyāmasundara, says, “Mādhava! I have accepted my defeat. Had I known this before, I would not have gone to give knowledge to gopīs. You deliberately sent me there. Blessed are the deceitful friends like You! On the one hand, ‘knowledge’ got blemished and on the other, I got the title of a twitterer. Now, even I have stopped caring for the ‘knowledge’ after realizing ‘love’ to be the essence of all scriptures.” In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, Uddhava says, “Now the tears of love keep on flowing from these eyes involuntarily.”
