mādho! bhala paṭhayo sandesha
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Inebriated with divine love-bliss, Uddhava says to his friend, Shyāmasundara, “Oh Shyāmasundara! Well, did You send me to Braja to convey Your message! There, on seeing the divine love of gopīs for the Personal God, all my knowledge disappeared exactly in the same way as the moon becomes invisible at sunrise. I was involuntarily enraptured with joy and lost all consciousness. Embracing the creepers around and sighing ‘Oh the Lord of my life!’ I kept on wandering like an intoxicated person for many days.” In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, Uddhava says, “Oh Shyāmasundara, dressed as an acrobat! None is able to understand the secret of Your strange, divine līlās.”
