mādho! jāuṁ tumahiṁ balihāra
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Imbued with divine love, Uddhava says to his friend, “Oh Shyāmasundara! I sacrifice myself repeatedly on Your līlās. You sent me to such a place for preaching where all maidens are eternally enlightened. All these gopīs of Braja belong to the divine abode Goloka, and have descended from there into Braja. Oh friend! Having fallen into the fire of their intense yearning for You, all my knowledge has burnt into ashes. You hid this entire secret from me. Is this the way one should behave with one’s friend?” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says to Uddhava, “Oh Uddhava! Every true friend in the world should follow the example of your friend for learning his duty towards a friend, because your friend, Shyāmasundara changed your dry heart into a sentimental heart.”
