Virah Madhuri · Pad 134
mādhava! aba na, tumahiṁ patiyāuṁ
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Uddhava, intoxicated with divine love-bliss, says to his friend Shyāmasundara, “Oh Mādhava! Now I will never trust You. How nicely You subjected me to fun by sending me to that village! What did You get by doing so? Now, if You even send me to any place at all, I will not comply even by mistake. It is only You who pervade the entire being of these gopīs. There is not even an iota of place left in them for knowledge. You have blemished Your own name by making Your friend defeated by these gopīs”. In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, Uddhava adds, “You are not the one to relinquish anybody; examples are innumerable.”
