gaye kita, priyatama nandakumāra
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
(Lamentation of a virahiṇī in Shyāmasundara’s separation.) Oh beloved Shyāmasundara! Where have You gone? You used to tell us, ‘I am the debtor and all of you are My creditors. I cannot repay your debt even in a life as long as that of heavenly gods.’ Besides, You also used to say, ‘Maidens of Braja are dearer to Me than even My life.’ Why then, Oh Beloved! Have You forgotten us even though You are the efficient husband? Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī humorously said to the virahiṇī, “Oh sakhi! Bhagwan Kṛishṇa is an opportunist. He is the leader of liars. His principle keeps on changing.”
