Virah Madhuri · Pad 77
karī kā, nā jāne vāne
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
A virahiṇī says, “Oh sakhi! I don’t know what kind of spell that naughty Shyāmasundara has cast on me! My innocent eyes got entangled with His eyes one day and now, they are pertinaciously demanding to see that same fascinating form of that Stealer of heart repeatedly. Oh sakhi! What should I say? I know not what magic there was in His look that no sooner did I see it than I forcibly lost my ‘everything’ to Him.” In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, the virahiṇī sighs, “This is just the beginning of my love and I am forced to hear the jeers of friends; what will happen in future?”
