ūdho!, haiṁ mādho karatāra
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Gopīs say to Uddhava, “Oh Uddhava! Shyāmasundara is the Supreme God. He is all-powerful. Whatever He does befits and beseems Him perfectly. You see Uddhava! God Vishnu preserves the entire cosmic egg (brahmāṇḍa), but he, along with his wife Lakshmī, have been provided with the bed of Sheshanāga in the ocean, by Shyāmasundara. Poor Vishnu does not possess even a broken cot to lie upon. And He has given Shaṅkara Jī, who imparts even four other types of liberation (in addition to sāyujya) and causes the dissolution of the world, the skin of a lion to wear. What to say more, the secret of the actions of Shyāmasundara, who, renouncing a mother like Yashodā as a blade of grass, has given to the demoness Pūtanā a place in His heart, can be known only by Himself.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says that even the maidens of Braja understand the secret of Shyāmasundara’s actions to some extent.
