ūdho!, mādho kī gati nyārī
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Gopis are addressing Uddhava – “Oh Uddhava! The actions of Shyāmasundara are unique. He is absolutely capable of doing, not doing and undoing an action, according to His will. Just think yourself, is it not a strange deed that renouncing us, the maidens of Braja who love Him selflessly, He has accepted Kubjā, whose love is utterly selfish, as His sweetheart? What to say more, when He can forget even a father like Nanda and a mother like Yashodā, what is so surprising if He forgot all the maidens of Braja?” In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, the gopīs add, “Yet we know very well that all this is merely one of His divine actions. Only a fool who does not understand the real nature of His divine actions can accuse Him.”
