Virah Madhuri · Pad 42
ūdho!, tuma douna ika sāra
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
The maidens of Braja, in the irritation of love, say to Uddhava – “Oh Uddhava! You and your friend are both alike. Both are civilized robbers. Just think yourself that we are asked to smear our body with ashes instead of sandalwood, and wear the skin of a lion whereas your friend Himself is indulging in merry-making in Mathurā with Kubjā. Oh Uddhava! Our mind, which you have come to teach yoga to, is actually in the possession of your friend.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “After stealing our mind (heart), Shyāmasundara is now playing with our life.”
