ūdho!, jani kahiyo kachhu kānha
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Sending a message to their Beloved through Uddhava, the maidens of Braja state, “Oh Uddhava! Don’t say anything to Shyāmasundara. He is extremely tender-hearted; therefore, the report of our sad plight will make Him sad. He is the life of our life. We don’t want to make Him unhappy. Don’t tell Him even what you are seeing with your own eyes. If He insists on being told something about us, just say that all the maidens of Braja are happy. And if He asks further, ‘Haven’t the gopis sent some message for Me?’, then,” in the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī “tell Him only that which will retain the smile on His face, and nothing else.”
