ūdho! kahyo ihai balabhāya
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Sending a message to Shyāmasundara through Uddhava, the maidens of Braja state, “Oh Uddhava! Convey the following words of ours to Shyāmasundara. The group of cowherd boys, gopīs, cows, calves are all shedding tears in Your separation day and night. They fall on the ground in a swoon, moment after moment, wailing ‘Oh Kanhaiyā!’ Just as You had first drowned everybody’s wife, husband etc. in the blissful ocean of Your sweet association, similarly even Your separation has drowned those wives and husbands etc. in the ocean of sorrow.” In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, the sakhīs state, “Oh King of Braja! This Braja of Yours is drowning. Save it by blessing us with Your enlivening sight once.”
