ūdho!, kahiyo hari samujhāya
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
(The gopīs of Braja are sending a message to their beloved Shyāmasundara through Uddhava.) Oh Uddhava! Tell our Beloved that whether He remembers us or not, He will always reside in our hearts. Uddhava! He is our Beloved and also the lord of our life. We are completely dependent on Him, for He is our sole support. He may spurn us to His heart’s content, but we have become His eternal servants. If we have to, we will spend innumerable lives watching the path for the Beloved’s return. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Oh beloved Shyāmasundara! The gopīs are afraid of only one thing. If You do not return to these gopīs, the ignorant people of this world may start calling You cruel, not understanding the mysterious nature of Your causeless grace.”
