Virah Madhuri · Pad 10
arī sakhi!, prāṇa kaṇṭha chali āya
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
A virahiṇī says, “Oh sakhi! Now the prana is about to leave my body in Beloved’s separation. You tell me yourself that how this life can be sustained without the life of life, Shyāmasundara. Like one in the state of delirium, I sometimes get startled and sometimes start talking nonsense. Sometimes I start staring on something unblinkingly and sometimes become unconscious. Oh sakhi! Affliction overtakes my heart with such an intensity at times that it seems as if I would just lose my life. Is there any well-wishing friend of mine, who can make me meet my Beloved even at the cost of taking my life?” In the meantime, Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī prayed to Shrī Kṛishṇa, “Oh beloved Shyāmasundara! Now meet this virahiṇī pretty soon, otherwise the world will laugh at Your title of being causelessly merciful.”
