māninī! kauna tihārī bāna
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Trying to please māninī Rādhā, Lalitā sakhī says, “Oh Kishorī Jī! What is this habit of Yours? You do māna so frequently knitting Your eyebrows with pride. By constantly doing māna like this due to Your pride, You mix bitter poison in the nectarean bliss of sweet union, as a result of which beloved Shyāmasundara writhes in pain in Your separation like a fish without water. Oh Kishorī Jī! beloved Shyāmasundara gets very tired, calling You in each and every grove.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, addressing Shrī Rādhā says, “The whole world knows You to be extremely simple-hearted and innocent. Why then, have You become so stone-hearted as not to feel any mercy even for Your Beloved (Shyāmasundara) who is dearer to You than Your own life?”
