piyā binu, pyārihiṁ biraha satāya
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
(The description of Shrī Rādhā’s agony in separation from beloved Shyāmasundara.) The separation from the Beloved is being extremely painful for His Darling, Rādhā. The night is eating Her up like a witch. The stars are burning Her like live coals, and even ‘Sleep’, behaving like a co-wife, has forsaken Her. The southern wind is spreading poison all over the body, as if it has gathered this poison from the snakes clinging to the sandalwood trees on the Mt. Malaya. Even the moon that always used to shower rays of nectar is raining embers of fire as if it has become the sun. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “In this way, seeing all the elements of Nature acting against their nature, Kishorī Jī was extremely restless and fell down on the earth in a swoon.”
