piyā binu, pyārī jiyā akulāta
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
(Kishorī Jī’s sad plight in beloved Shyāmasundara’s separation.) Lovelorn Kishorī Jī’s heart is extremely restless without beloved Shyāmasundara. Sitting in kuñjas and waiting for Her Beloved, She looks all around with great impatience. Upon seeing the birds flying from trees without any obvious reason, She starts looking in the same direction with great restlessness thinking that beloved Shyāmasundara is coming! Waiting for a while and then, getting disappointed, She wails variously, repeatedly sighing ‘ Oh the Lord of My life!’ After that, She falls on the ground in a swoon, and then the only word that is heard is the cry of pain ‘Ha! Ha!’ Getting up again, She wails variously, feeling extremely restless. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Kishorī Jī is regretting again and again in Her heart for causelessly doing māna with beloved Shyāmasundara.”
