piyā binu, pyārī hoti adhīra
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
In separation from Her beloved Kṛishṇa, Shrī Kishorī Jī is extremely restless. Calling out to Him with a yearning heart and searching for Him in every nook and corner of Braja, Shrī Rādhā is constantly shedding rivulets of tears. The sight of a tamāla tree, which is of Her Beloved’s colour, drowns Her completely in the memory of Shyāmasundara. She becomes even more restless seeing peacocks who remind Her of the peacock-feather-crown worn by Her Beloved. Lost in the sweet memory of the time spent with Her Beloved in the nikuñjas of Vṛindāvana, She becomes unconscious. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “During the night, the sight of the chakravāka bird and its female pining for each other gives Her some consolation.” (As one may know, the chakravāka bird is separated by nature from its mate during the night.)
