piyā binu, uṭhati hūka hiya hāya!

Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj

English meaning

(Kishorī Jī’s sad plight in beloved Shyāmasundara’s separation.) Oh! Oh! I am feeling stabbing pain in My heart in My beloved’s separation. The Beloved’s black-complexioned charming face and heart-stealing form has completely occupied My heart. Clothes, food, ornaments etc. do not attract Me even in a dream. It feels as if someone is torturing Me by practising black magic again and again. I am unable to bear this pain any longer. The more I try to forget the Beloved, the more He comes in My mind. In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, “Beloved Shyāmasundara is dearer to Me than My life. Therefore, in the aspiration of His sweet union, it has become impossible for Me even to give up My life.”
