‘māṁga hama, swāmini! ika varadāna
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
At the break of māna, Shyāmasundara says to Kishorī Jī, “Oh Kishorī Jī! I ask You to bless Me with one boon. This son of Nanda is Your servant, therefore, kindly fulfil His desire. I create the entire world just by smiling and annihilate it merely by creasing My eyebrows. The Vedas, the Shāstras, the Purāṇas - all declare Me to be the Omnipotent Supreme God. That same I am begging before You.” Kishorī Jī said with a smile, “Ask what You want to ask for.” Shyāmasundara said, “Oh Kishorī Jī! The only boon I ask for is, never again do māna with Me from this moment.” In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, Kishorī Jī replied, “From today, I will do māna only on some severe offence of Yours, and not on ordinary ones.”
