sāṁvaro, jādūgara saradāra
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Seeing the intense craving of the gopīs of Braja for the sweet reunion with beloved Shyāmasundara, Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “That dark-complexioned Shyāmasundara is the leader of all magicians. He wounds everyone He looks at, and whosoever looks at Him becomes mad by His infinite beauty. All the gopīs, married as well as unmarried, have gone mad in His love. Wherever I look in Braja, I find gopīs writhing in the pain of His separation, crying ‘Oh Prāṇādhāra!’ (i.e. ‘Oh Lord of my life!’). They go around from place to place like a wounded doe, searching for their Beloved everywhere.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī further says, “When all the gopīs are thus mad after Shyāmasundara, who shall call whom ignorant?”
