lakhī maiṁ sakhi! sundara shyāma sujāna
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
A sakhī relates to her friend her first meeting with Shyāmasundara, “Sakhi! Even I have seen infinitely beautiful Shyāmasundara. I had gone to the bank of the river Yamunā along with my friends to bathe. Shyāmasundara appeared all of a sudden from among the beautiful bowers. He attacked my heart with overly pointed arrows of His loving side-glances. As soon as those arrows pierced me, I was, as if completely hypnotized. In the meanwhile, He started playing sweet melodies on His flute.” In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, “Wounding me, Lalitā, in this way, He again disappeared into those groves.”
