lakhī ina, nainana mṛidu-musakāna
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
A sakhī says, “I have seen Shyāmasundara’s sweet smile with my own eyes. As soon as I saw that smile, I became oblivious of my body, and the modesty of the world, the Vedas as well as the ancestry ran away with all its entourage. Now wherever my eyes fall, I see nothing but that sweet smile. The eyes which have seen that alluring smile do not possess a tongue and the tongue is bereft of the eyes. Therefore, I am unable to describe the loveliness of that smile.” In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, “Now, there is left only one work for me to do and that is, to sing the names and glories of my beloved Shyāmasundara alone.”
