lakhī ina, nainana nainana kānha
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
A gopī says, “Today, my eyes met with Shyāmasundara’s eyes. Eyes do not possess tongue and tongue does not possess eyes, therefore my eyes talked with Shyāmasundara’s eyes in gestures alone. And just as a piece of salt becomes one with water, similarly, my eyes too, mingling with Shyāmasundara’s eyes became one with them. After meeting Shyāmasundara, who is naughtier than the veritable naughtiness, the mind, too, forgot its fickleness. Even the intellect lost its power of making decisions. It was like magic.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Oh sakhi! Today, you are putting on airs but tomorrow, i.e. in future, when you suffer the unbearable pangs of separation, you will experience the result of this sweet meeting. Know this well in your heart.”
